LIFE HISTORY for ABBY JENNINGS
Abby Jennings, age 16, the daughter of Steve & Renee Jennings of Osakis, died Saturday, September 23, 2006 after a car accident on Friday afternoon near Nelson, MN.
A beautiful baby daughter named Abigail was born to Steve and Renee (Geyer) Jennings on May 4, 1990 in St. Cloud, MN. She moved with her family to Osakis and Abby attended Osakis Public School and was currently a Junior at OHS. Abby was very involved in various school activities. She was a member of the varsity volleyball team and had belonged to the softball team, the FCCLA club and was an honor student as well. Abby was also a member of the Lake Community Church in Alexandria and helped in the daycare and was part of the church youth group. Abby was a five year attendant at Camp Lebanon, a Christian summer camp near Upsala, MN, and had been a volunteer on their Sweat Team. She learned to play piano and enjoyed listening to music.
One of Abby's favorite past times was riding and training her horse, Jessie. She was a member of the Trailblazer Saddle Club and her competitive nature made her a tough opponent in the gaming events. She had placed at State competition two years in a row and had received many ribbons.
Abby was employed at AJ's restaurant in Osakis and was dating Tim Thornbloom, whom she had worked with at the restaurant. Abby had a beautiful smile that she readily shared with others. She had many friends, not only other students at OHS, but all those people fortunate enough to get to know her. In keeping with her generous spirit, Abby also gave life as an organ/tissue donor. She will be dearly missed and never forgotten in the hearts of those whose lives she touched.
Abby is survived by her parents, Steve & Renee Jennings of Osakis; 3 brothers, Paul (Lee), Ben (Julie) and Matthew (Jenna), all of Osakis; grandparents, Donald & Beverly Geyer and Robert & Mary Jane Jennings, all of St. Cloud; 3 nephews, Ryan, Nick and Josh; her boyfriend, Tim Thornbloom and his family, Rick, Judy and Britta Thornbloom, all of Osakis.
She is preceded in death by her grandmother, Phylis Jennings, an uncle, Paul Jennings and an aunt, Sue Pribanic.
