Angela M. Lobitz, age 68 of Carlos, passed away on Sunday, July 18, 2010 at the Douglas County Hospital in Alexandria, MN.
She was born at home on March 22, 1942 in Watkins, Minnesota to Edna and Herman Von Lintel. Angela enjoyed attending St. Anthony's Grade School and Catholic Church. She graduated in 1960 from St. Boniface High School in Cold Spring, where she enjoyed playing flute in the high school band and taking the summer marching trips to area parades. Angela was married on April 23, 1961 in Watertown, MN to Harlan Lobitz. She and Harlan raised four children in various locations, including Florida, Iowa and Louisiana as Harlan was transferred in his work.
Angela enjoyed visiting her children, gardening, art work & crafts, and getting together with friends and family.
She is survived by her husband, Harlan Lobitz of Carlos; children, Cheryl (Walter Means) Lobitz of Lost Nation, IA, Bruce (Karen) Lobitz of Columbia, SC, Bradley (Michele) Lobitz of San Mateo, CA, Sarah (Christopher) Rizzuto of Hollister, CA; 4 grandchildren, Thomas, Carl, Anne and Valeria Lobitz; brothers, Philip von Lintel of Cusick, WA, James (Pam) von Lintel of Oracle, AZ; sisters, Carrie (Rick) Johnson of Fort Ripley, MN and Linda (Alan) von Lintel Beniek of Cold Spring, MN.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, July 25, 2010 at 2:00 pm at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Alexandria, MN with Rev. Wade Meyer officiating.
