Coni Waltzing

LIFE HISTORY for CONI WALTZING
Coni Waltzing, formerly of Osakis, left her earthly life early Thursday morning, July 20, 2006 at her home in Maple Grove, three days after her 27th birthday.
Coni Ann was born July 17, 1979 in Alexandria, MN to Albert & Diane Waltzing. She graduated from Osakis High School with the Class of 1997. Coni attended Fergus Falls Community College for two years and then transfered to St. Cloud State University to receive a degree in business and marketing. She paid her way through college by working at the Kohl's department store, and it was Kohl's that later hired Coni for a management position at their branch store in Maple Grove. One of the highlights of her college experience was a semester that she spent studying and traveling throughout Europe. Coni began her relationship with Weston Johnson on January 1, 2005. Although they were already married in their hearts, their nuptial blessing was planned for September 30th of this year.
Coni had many interests and hobbies. She loved to travel and spend time with her many friends, socializing and meeting for dinner. She loved her family and spending time with her nieces and nephews. She had a natural knack for bringing a smile to those she met and also liked to capture those smiles on camera and enjoyed doing photography.
When she was diagnosed with adrenal cancer in December of 2005, Coni faced the challenge with optimism and courage. She was an inspiration to all who knew her.
Coni is survived by her fiance', Weston Johnson of Maple Grove; her parents, Al & Diane Waltzing of Osakis; brothers and sisters, Jeff (Kathy) Waltzing of Crystal, Lori Waltzing of Osakis, Shari Fleck of New Hope, Kurt (Diana) Waltzing of Osakis, Kristi (Greg) Evers of Sartell, Tami (Tyler Olson) Waltzing of Blaine, Randy Waltzing of Osakis; her nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents and an infant brother, Robert Waltzing.
A Mass of Resurrection was held on Monday, July 24 at 10:30 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Osakis with Fr. Dick McGuire officiating. Music was provided by the From the Heart Singers with a solo by Lenny Boogaard. Lector was Victor Waltzing and giftbearers were Irvin & Deb Frie. Eucharistic minister was Sharon Marthaler. Interment was at St. Alexius Cemetery in West Union, MN.
Honorary pallbearers were Tami Waltzing, Heidi Johnson, Dawn Jabas, Melissa Kraft, Sonja Boulton, Holly Blume and Lindsey Niehoff. Active bearers were Jeff & Randy Waltzing, Wyatt & Ben Johnson, Chris Chap and Tyler Olson.
Arrangements were handled by the Roy-Hetland Funeral Home in Osakis, MN.
