LIFE HISTORY FOR CRAIG TWAIT
Craig Twait, age 55 of Alexandria went to meet his Lord on the evening of January 28, 2015 from his home in Alexandria, MN.
Donald and Marjorie (Naig) Twait were proud parents when their youngest son, Craig Eugene was born on October 22, 1959 in Emmetsburg, IA. He moved with his family to the Alexandria, MN area and graduated from Osakis High School in 1978. He was a member of the Osakis Lutheran Church in Osakis.
Craig worked as a server and prep cook for the local Perkins restaurant and then later worked in the kitchen at the Arrowwood Resort in Alexandria. Craig also worked in the produce department at Festival Foods. He also loved to be in the kitchen and was an excellent cook. He loved to watch the many cooking shows on television and try out the recipes himself. He was a gifted gardener and used his green thumb to grow many fresh fruits and vegetables and always had a large garden for canning produce each fall. In addition to being a kind and gentle caregiver for his parents, he also helped them on the farm. Craig was an animal lover and enjoyed many pets over the years, including horses, dogs and cats. He enjoyed taking long walks out in the country.
Craig is survived by his three brothers, Wayne Twait of Emmetsburg, Iowa, Kenneth Twait of Alexandria, MN and Gary Twait of San Diego, CA and a sister, Marjean (Lee) Johnson of Emmetsburg, IA; 4 nieces and nephews, Brad Twait, Monica Hoch, Marilee Lace and Melissa Butz, along four great nieces and nephews; special friends, Renee Caye and Sharon Bross
Waiting to meet him in Heaven are his parents, Donald and Marjorie Twait, grandparents and an infant sister and nephew.
Memorial services for Craig will be held on Friday, February 6 at 2:00 pm at the Roy-Hetland Funeral Home chapel in Osakis with Rev. Rich Fitzer officiating. There will be a gathering time beginning at 1:00 pm. Honorary bearers are Loren Kakac, Allan Ward, Bill Johnson, Buster Fiedler, Lynell and Lydell Gayken, Roger Akervik and Jason Sward. Interment will be at a later date at St. John's North Cemetery in Cylinder, Iowa.
Arrangements are with the Roy-Hetland Funeral Home in Osakis, MN.
