Diane Marie Imdieke, the daughter of Sylvester and Susan (Langer) Kupfer, was born on February 22, 1952, in Wadena, MN. She grew up in Bluffton, MN and graduated from Wadena High School in 1970. While attending college, Diane met the love of her life, Alan Imdieke. After dating for about a year, they were united in marriage on August 28, 1971, in Bluffton, MN. Together they moved to Osakis, where they raised their three children, Keith, Kyle and Lisa. While staying home to take care of her own family, Diane also babysat many other children over the years. She later worked at Food n Fuel for thirteen years in various positions. Once her grandchildren were born, she dedicated her time to taking care of them.
Family was a word Diane did not take for granted. She loved her husband Alan dearly and cherished every second with her children and grandchildren. Diane loved to babysit her grandchildren and spent as much time with them as possible. She was a strong woman who wore many hats in her family. She was a fine cook, an excellent baker, an organizer of family get-togethers, a counselor, and her children’s and grandchildren’s biggest fan. Diane was an avid sports fan who enjoyed watching all levels of competition. She spent countless hours crocheting afghans, sewing and shortening clothing for her family, reading books and working in her flower garden. Diane was a patient, kind, smart and loving woman. She will be dearly missed by all who loved her.
