Donna Peterson

Donna Peterson, age 55 of Osakis passed into her new life on August 2, 2017 in Alexandria, MN. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Aug. 11 at 11:00 am at the Immaculate Conception Church in Osakis. Visitation hours are from 4 - 8 pm on Thursday evening at the Roy-Hetland Funeral Home with parish prayers at 7:30 pm. Visitation will continue on Friday morning at the church beginning at 10 am.
Donna Marie Dietrich was born on August 13, 1961 to Robert and Margie (Waters) Dietrich. She attended Osakis Public Schools and graduated with the Class of 1979. She first worked in the office at the Offerman & Company Investment firm in Minneapolis, MN. On April 5, 1986 Donna married Jim Peterson, and they made their home in Osakis. They had the good fortune of having two children, a daughter, Sarah and a son, Ryan. Donna was hired as the office manager for Dental Health Associates in Alexandria where she worked for several years. Donna then went to work for the Life Stage Wealth Management Company, which later became known as Northrock Partners. She was office manager in operations for them for many years, and always loved working with the clients.
Besides time spent with family, Donna enjoyed traveling, golfing, gardening, bowling and taking long walks. She enjoyed getting outdoors and enjoyed their home by Lake Osakis. She also enjoyed their yearly trip to the North Shore in the Fall. She was a hard worker and devoted wife, mother and sister who will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered in the hearts of all who knew her.
Left to mourn her passing is her husband, Jim Peterson of Osakis; a daughter and son-in-law, Sarah and Rick Ellstrom of Pine City and a son, Ryan Peterson of Osakis; siblings, Sharon (Don) Tonn of Osakis, Jim (Sharon) Dietrich of Osakis, Phyllis Jenson of New Hope, DeWayne (Jen) Dietrich of Osakis, Debbie (Kris Gallipo) Merchant of Forest Lake and Brenda (Greg) Larson of Champlin; many nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
Waiting to greet her in heaven are her parents, Bob and Margie Dietrich, a brother, Dennis and a nephew, Karry Tonn.
Funeral services for Donna will be held on Friday, August 11, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Osakis with Fr. Dave Petron officiating. Honorary pallbearers are by her godchildren, Rachael Merchant, Mary Dietrich; Lisa Tenhoff, and friends Theresa Marthaler, Michelle Adamietz, and Tom and Elaine Holscher. Active pallbearers are Chris Neumann, Rick Harth, Greg Marthaler, Ron Adamietz, Kris Gallipo and Greg Larson.
