Dora Nootnagel

Dora Mary Nootnagel, age 100, of Hudson WI and formerly of Osakis MN, passed away on Thursday morning, June 30, 2011 at Comforts of Home in Hudson. She was born the daughter of Gabriel and Anna (Pischke) Wagner on June 14, 1911 in Brandon, MN. She attended the Brandon Country School. On October 16, 1934 Dora was united in marriage to August F. "Boots" Nootnagel at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Brandon. They were blessed with four children: Annette, Fred, Kathy, and Carol. Dora took great pride in being a mother and homemaker. She enjoyed gardening and was very good at baking and sewing.

Dora was preceded in death by her husband, Boots; three brothers and three sisters. She will remain in the hearts of her children: Annette (Paul) Mallak of Oakdale MN, Fred (Wakako) Nootnagel of Virginia Beach VA, Kathy (Les) Quinn of Hudson WI, and Carol Jean (Dave) Denoff of The Villages FL; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Clara McClure of York PA; nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held to celebrate Dora's life at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, July 5th at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 1500 Vine St. in Hudson. Visitation one hour prior to Mass. A graveside service and interment will take place in the Calvary Cemetery of Osakis, MN at 3:00 PM.
