Janice LaFrenz Flolid

Janice F. LaFrenz (Kramer) Flolid was born on December 15, 1946, to Raymond and Olga (Claussen) LaFrenz at St. Lukes Hospital in Alexandria, MN. She was baptized in the Lutheran faith in Orange Township on January 19, 1947. Janice was confirmed at Redeemer Lutheran Church on July 3, 1960. She graduated from Osakis High School in 1964.

During the summer she spent 5 days a week with Lyla Engfer (1st cousin, best friend, roommate and co-worker).

After graduation she went to St. Cloud and worked for Fingerhut. Later she went to Minneapolis and lived with 3 other girls from Osakis. She was employed at the same insurance company as Lyla. They played basketball in the winter and softball in the summer.

Jan married Doug Kramer on May 17, 1969, and divorced 1980. They lived in St Cloud and later bought a resort in Osakis. Sold the resort after divorce and Janice went to work for the City of Osakis.

Jan married John Flolid on August 24, 1991. They bought a house on Lake St, upon selling that home they built a home on 7^th avenue in Osakis. Upon retiring they bought a mobile home in Osakis and also in Donna, TX. They spent the Winter in Donna, TX and Summers in Osakis. 

Jan enjoyed Softball, Bowling, Golfing and she was involved in the Osakis Women's Association. She kept a weedless vegetable and flower garden. 

One of Jan’s biggest joys in life were her many Nieces and Nephews.

Janice passed into her heavenly home on 2-6-2024                           

She is survived by her husband John, stepson Lihn Flolid from Pennsauken, NJ. Sibling JoAnn (Bill) Clay from Osakis, and Many Nieces and Nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Olga LaFrenz, Brother Vernon (Barney) LaFrenz, Sister Veronica Fish, Brother Clifford LaFrenz, Nephew Michael Fish, Niece Jenny LaFrenz,, Grand Parents and Aunts and Uncles.
