Juneal Agnes Martin, 81, of Osakis passed away at her home on Saturday, December 7, 2024. Memorial services will be held at the Roy-Hetland Funeral Home in Osakis on May 3, 2025 at 11:00 am following Visitation starting from 10:00 am. Interment will place at Hope Lutheran Cemetery in Eagle Bend, Minnesota after lunch.
Juneal Agnes Martin was born on January 23, 1943 to Agnes (Olsen) and Walter Klinder in Mankato, Minnesota. She attended public school in Long Prairie and graduated with the class of 1961. After completing her schooling, Juneal attended cosmetology school in Wadena and later started her career as a hairdresser in the cities before moving to Redwood Falls.
On March 28, 1964, Juneal married Russel Martin at Trinity Lutheran Church in Long Prairie, and the couple welcomed two children, Sheri and Chad. Together, they enjoyed travelling, playing cards, and dancing. And in 1999, Juneal and Russel moved to Osakis for their retirement.
Besides spending time with her family, Juneal also enjoyed photography, making garters and floral arrangements for proms and weddings, roller skating, and reading.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Russel Lee Martin of Osakis; children: Sheri (Steve) VanDeWiele of Tracy, MN and Chad (Lynette) Martin of Glenwood, MN; grandchildren: Jonathon (Angie), Victoria, Kasey (Kelsey), Jonah (Morgan), Haleh (Karter), Ross (Jenny); great-grandchildren: Janessa (Brandon), Blake, Skylar, Jovan, Zandria, Tavien, Glenn, Roy, Greyson, Jaevier, Jozlyn, Jaivan, Jynxly; great-great-grandchildren: Yara and Isla; sisters: Karla(Gene) Kalway and Karrol Berge; brothers-in-law, Bill Denet and Dale Martin.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Agnes and Walter Klinder; sister, Julene Denet; sister-in-law, Alice Martin, Carol Martin, mother and father-in-law, Ruth and Walter Martin; brothers-in-law: Donald Martin and Eugene Martin.
