Keith Torstenson, age 81 of Osakis passed away on Monday, Nov. 21 at the Golden Living Center in St. Louis Park, MN.
Keith DeWayne Torstenson was born on October 17, 1930 in Alexandria, MN to Victor and Gladys (Ewing) Torstenson. He was raised in Osakis and attended Osakis Public School. Keith would make his living as a cross-country truck driver. He married DeLoyce Affeldt in September of 1953. For 28 years, Keith lived in Texas and then returned to the Osakis area in 2004. After a lifetime on the road, Keith was an expert at visiting truck stops. He especially enjoyed visiting with the people at the Trucker's Inn in Sauk Centre, MN. Keith had most recently been a resident at Becky's on the Lake in Osakis. Keith is survived by his children, Kathy Zimmerman and Lori (Austin) Lehn, both of Brandon, MN, Tom (Bev) Torstenson of Sauk Centre and Shari (Kevin) Sather of Nelson, MN; 7 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; a brother, Jim (Jean) Torstenson of Osakis and two sisters, Nona Betts of Osakis and Marlys (Laddie) Hawkins of Remer. He is preceded in death by his parents.
There will be a graveside service for Keith on Sunday, Dec. 11 at 1 pm at the West Evergreen Cemetery in Osakis. Arrangements by the Roy-Hetland Funeral Home in Osakis.
