April 1, 1943 — October 26, 2024

Osakis

Lester (Les) Martin Fiskness, aged 81, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, October 26, after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease.

Les was born on April 1, 1943, to Peter and Anna Fiskness of rural Osakis, MN.

Les married Rebecca Storry on November 25, 1978. Les and Rebecca have three children: an infant son, lost before birth, and sons Jed and Luke.

Les had a love for farming, antique tractors, hard work, and his family, but most of all, for Jesus Christ. Les had a strong and deep faith that he leaned on in both good times and hard times. His favorite Bible verses were Colossians 3:23-24: “And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.” Les’s greatest joy was knowing that his wife, children, and grandchildren follow Jesus too.

Les is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Rebecca; his son Jed (Amber) Fiskness and their children, Mackenzie, Zachary, and Abigail; his son Luke (Katie) Fiskness and their children, Ezekiel, Kaia, Livi, Jude, and Titus. He is also survived by his sister, Glaydce Stoner, and his brother, Loren Fiskness.

He was preceded in death by his infant son, his parents, and his brother, Phillip Fiskness. While his family mourns his loss, they find great comfort and joy in the promise of Jesus Christ’s life, death, and resurrection, knowing that Les is now with Jesus face to face and reunited with his infant son, parents, and brother in heaven.

The family offers their sincere thanks to the wonderful and caring staff at LB Homes and Knute Nelson Hospice for providing Les with compassionate end-of-life care.

A private funeral service will take place at Elim Lutheran Church in Osakis.
