Linda Woyke

Linda Woyke, age 71 of Osakis, formerly of White Bear Lake, passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2011 at the Douglas County Hospital in Alexandria, MN.
Linda was born on October 2, 1939 in St. Paul, MN to Archie and Edna (Lindberg) Ramsey. She graduated from White Bear Lake High School in 1957 and attended the University of Minnesota where she was a member of Alpha Xi Delta.
On September 19, 1970, Linda married Wendell Woyke in White Bear Lake, MN. They lived in the Twin Cities until retiring and moving to a home on Lake Osakis in 1997.
Linda enjoyed doing handiwork, especially crocheting and gardening. She enjoyed travelling abroad, watching sunsets each evening at the lake and watching her grandchildren play sports. She was an avid reader and enjoyed playing cards, especially bridge and blackjack.
Linda is survived by her husband, Wendell Woyke of Osakis; sons, Michael (Chrissy) Woyke of Hastings, MN and Robert (Jacki) Nelson of Sierra Vista, AZ; 4 grandchildren, Tyler & Megan Woyke, Brittney & Bryan Nelson; a sister, Patricia Burt of St. Paul, MN and dear nieces and nephews, Greg, Scott, Lindsey, Amy, Maya and Lindsay.
Preceding her in death are her parents, Archie & Edna (Lindberg) Ramsey, an infant daughter, Anne Justine Woyke and a brother, Thomas Ramsey.
A committal service will be held at the Evergreen Memorial Gardens on Friday, July 15, 2011 at 10 am, 3400 Century Av N, Mahtomedi, MN. Following the committal, an open house celebration of Linda's life will be held in Hastings, MN at her son, Michael's home starting at 1 pm.
