Life History for Patrick Collins
Patrick Collins, age 70 of Osakis, formerly of Omaha, NE passed away early Monday morning at the Community Memorial Home in Osakis, MN.
Patrick Ronald Collins was born on January 29, 1938 in Minneapolis, MN to Clarence and Hildegard (Burggraff) Collins. At the age of two, Patrick moved with his family to Omaha. He lived and worked there for many years in retail sales. He was married to Nancy Boyle in 1958 and they had one son. Pat had owned and operated QSP Printing (Quality, Service & Price) in Omaha until he retired and moved to a home on Lake Osakis in 1997. Osakis had been a vacation destination for Pat for many years, beginning back in 1954.
Pat had many different hobbies and interests. He enjoyed bowling, woodworking and traveling. He was a pheasant hunter each fall and also enjoyed getting out on the lake fishing. During the winter months he enjoyed bingo and playing cards.
Pat is survived by his son, Tim Collins of Omaha, NE; a sister, Sue (Richard) Billotte of Osakis; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Rod and Jack Collins, and a sister, Yvonne 'Bonnie' Champion.
Memorial services will be held for Patrick on Friday, October 24 at 11:00 am at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Osakis with Fr. Ralph Zimmerman officiating. Urn bearer is Roberta Collins. Music wwill be provided by the church funeral choir. Gathering time begans at 10:00 am at the church.
