Sharon Lee Sorenson

Sharon (Sharie) Lee Sorenson was born on November 30, 1956, in Paynesville, Minnesota to Clarice (Claris) Sorenson.  She attended Osakis and Alexandria Public Schools and graduated from Alexandria Public School in 1974. 

After graduation Sharon joined the Army.  She returned to Minnesota after her honorable discharge from the Army.  Sharie worked at a variety of jobs.  In her early 40’s she became disabled due to an injury while working on a construction job.  

Sharie had been active at the Salem Lutheran Church in rural Osakis.  She enjoyed cooking, traveling, flower gardens and her cats.   

Sharie passed away on October 28, 2022, at the St. Cloud Veteran’s Hospital at the age of 65.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Claris and grandparents, Arthur and Clara Sorenson.  She is survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.   

A private funeral will be held. Military Honors were provided by the Osakis VFW Post 7902 and the Minnesota Army National Guard.
