Life History for Steven Grundman
Steven Louis Grundman, age 57 of Villard, entered his new life on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at his home in Villard, MN.
Steven Louis Grundman was born on February 19, 1957 in Alexandria, MN to Harold and Agnes (Ferrian) Grundman. He graduated from Brooten High School in 1975 and worked on the family farm for several years before starting his own roofing company in Albertville, MN known as Grundman Construction. Another venture for Steven was doing long distance truck driving. He traveled all across the country and got to see much of the United States. Once he had spent enough hours on the road, Steven was ready to settle down and return to a life of farming and living in the country. He truly enjoyed working outdoors and liked to see things he planted grow. He especially favored working with John Deere tractors and equipment. Besides farming and gardening, Steven also spent many hours riding motorcycles, 4-wheelers and snowmobiles. He was a big Nascar fan and liked all types of music. Going fishing and watching the birds gathered at his feeders also brought him enjoyment.
Left to mourn his passing are his daughters, Angie (Nick Prodahl) Grundman of Buffalo and Andrea (George Hilal) Wildman Hilal of Maple Grove; two grandchildren; his parents, Harold and Agnes Grundman of Alexandria; his eight siblings, Mark Grundman of Villard, John Grundman of TX, Audrey (Greg) Radermacher of Brooten, Julie Gaffaney of St. Cloud, Emily (Jay) Backowski of Villard, Dan (Cindy) Grundman of Clearwater, Anthony (Mary) Grundman of Elk River, Ann (Kenny) Proctor of Alexandria; sister-in-law, Robin Grundman; many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents and two nephews, Luke Grundman and Andrew Backowski.
Funeral services will be held for Steven on Monday, August 18, 2014 at 11:00 am at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Villard, MN with Fr. Michael Wolfbauer officiating. Musicians are Ann Foley and Erin Gaffaney. Interment is at the Calvary Cemetery in Osakis with pallbearers being his nephews, Joe, Aaron and Isaac Radermacher, Paul, Patrick and Matthew Backowski, Mitchel Grundman, Jacob Grundman and Collin Gaffaney.
